How Hunter handles your data

Hunter stores only the data needed to run your job-search workspace: account details, your CV text, your brief and preferences, role decisions, generated CV tailoring, and operational records needed for billing and support.

CVs and briefs

CV uploads and pasted CV text are stored so Hunter can show your current CV, keep version history, and use the evidence when producing role reasoning and tailored CV drafts. Your brief and preferences are versioned so changes are auditable.

Role data

Hunter stores source job ads, structured role facts, scoring evidence, watch-outs, and your actions on roles. This lets the workspace explain why a role matched, avoid duplicates, and learn from your decisions.

Email and billing

Password-reset email uses Resend when configured. Billing uses Stripe when configured. Hunter stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, not card details.

Retention

We keep workspace data while your account is active so your search history, CV versions, and tracker remain useful. Backups are kept for operational recovery and are not used as a separate product database.

Your rights

You can request an export or deletion of your Hunter workspace. Email support@je.consulting from the account email and we will handle the request manually during early access.

Security

Production credentials and provider keys are held outside the codebase. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised operators and reviewed as part of routine operations.
